Pricing & Contact

After school program: This program runs during the school year, one day a week, with after-school pick-up available from Ohlone at 2:40 pm and goes to 5:00 pm. Parents can choose to pay on a month by month basis. $40 a day (roughly $160 a month) + a one time fee of $50 for art supplies that will last for the year. Please contact me with inquiries.

Self-Defense workshop for kids and their adults: Gather your crew and I’ll bring the ROAR workshop to you. I am located in Palo Alto, California but can travel to locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. $150 (sliding scale available) for a 1.5-hour workshop for 2 to 4 children and/or adults, and $10 for additional participants (up to 20) *subject to location and associated travel costs.  A local park with a grassy area or a large room with carpeted floors works well. Ask me about special prices for schools and girl scout troops.

Private art lessons: $100 an hour, not including materials.

Group art lessons and workshops: The number of participants is unlimited if you host. $200 an hour, not including materials.

If you have any questions, would like to book a lesson, workshop or learn more about the after school program, please email me at mmwyman@gmail.com

Contact me as well if you are interested in a Sexual Assault Prevention workshop for adults and free bystander intervention training.

Please note that the ROAR self-defense workshop is an introductory program for gaining fundamental tools for using your voice and body for self-confidence and personal safety.  I work to enhance abilities that children and adults can more easily access, rather than teach techniques that take dedicated practice to master. This workshop is meant to be an addition to, rather than a replacement for workshops and information found on Kidpower.org and can work in conjunction with other martial arts and physical activities. Please see my recommendations for further training and information.

Recommendations:

For an ongoing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training for kids and adults, I recommend Samurai Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Campbell, California. Their Fun-Jitsu Program is an innovative game-based method of teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to children and teens ages 5 to 15.

For adult Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training, check out Stanford BJJ on the Stanford University campus. I also work with Stanford BJJ to provide Sexual Assault Prevention workshops in the area.

In Oakland, California, Four Elements Fitness offers Self-Defense, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Jeet Kune Do/Kali, yoga and fitness classes.
